Here at Matmon, we provide website optimization strategies custom tailored to each client, website, campaign, budget, etc. To do this we perform an "Overall SEO Audit". This includes an "On-Page" and an "Off-Page" SEO Audit. "On-Page" simply refers to the html code, content, and assets provided by your website, whereas "Off-Page" refers to social media engagement, domain authority, backlinks, etc.
On-Page SEO Audit
Duplicate Content, Missing Information and HTML Errors
In order to rank well on search engines your website must conform to a strict set of web standards, guidelines, and recommendations. This includes using proper HTML markup and Meta Data, conforming to device compatibility and performance standards, user interface guidelines, and so much more. This audit will identify which of these standards your website needs to improve upon, providing you with actionable insights to improve your website's search engine rank. This includes improving page titles, headings, meta descriptions, and body content. We also review Google Search Console as well as perform ongoing audits to identify errors such as 404 errors and broken links.
Keyword Audit and Competitor Comparison
With this audit, we work to identify the keywords you are currently ranking for, the keywords you should/need to be ranking for, and how your site is currently ranking for specific keywords in comparison to your competitors. We also track how well you and your competitors rank for certain keywords over time, providing more competitive, long-term insights to your keyword campaign. We can track how well your site ranks for up to 100 keyword phrases, vs up to 9 other competitors websites.
Off-Page SEO Audit
Domain and Page Authority Audit
"Domain Authority is Moz's calculated metric for how well a given domain is likely to rank in Google's search results. It is based on data from the Mozscape web index and includes link counts, MozRank and MozTrust scores, and dozens of other factors. It uses a machine learning model to predictively find an algorithm that best correlates with rankings across thousands of search results that we predict against."
"While Domain Authority measures the predictive ranking strength of entire domains or subdomains, Page Authority measures the strength of an individual page."
Domain and Page Authority are both scored on a logarithmic scale from 0-100. The logarithmic scale simply means is that it's easier to increase your score from 30-40 than it is to increase it from 80-90. A score of 0-10 means you have very little chance of ranking well in Google's search results, whereas Facebook currently has a DA score of 100, meaning the facebook.com domain has a 100% chance of ranking well. No surprise there.
Because backlinks are a major factor in both how well you rank and how liable your site is to be penalized, it’s wise to determine the current status of your backlinks. This audit includes how many backlinks to your site exist, where these backlinks are coming from, and what text is linked.
Google Analytics Review including Conversion Audit
Google Analytics can be quite intimidating to the novice user. Here at Matmon, we can help you dig deep into your data and help you extract knowledgeable insights that will help drive conversions.
By performing these same audits on your competitor's websites and then comparing them with your own, we can then determine the best strategy on how to outrank them.
