Outlook® 2002 E-Mail Settings

Before you start the configuration process, make sure the program has been installed and is running properly. Open the program and follow these instructions:
  • On the menu bar, click Tools and then Options to bring up the Options box.
  • Click Mail Setup tab, then click E-mail Accounts… to bring up the E-mail Accounts box.
  • Click the Add a new e-mail account radio button, then click Next >.
  • Click the POP3 radio button, then click Next>.
  • Looking at the screen shot below, fill in the text blocks as described below:
    1. Your Name: Your name — it doesn’t have to be your login name.
    2. E-mail Address: userid@yourdomain.com
    1. Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.yourwebsiteaddress.com
    2. Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.yourwebsiteaddress.com

  • User Information

  • Click on More Settings … then go into Outgoing Server tab and check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
  • When you are done, click OK, then click Finish and you are finished.
