Special note for certain ISP users: Some certain ISPs require users to use outgoing server authentication using the ISP's ID & password. Note that some email clients (Eudora specifically) do not allow this. Otherwise, you will need to make a change: change the way you send email. One alternative is to use Matmon's webmail system. With this email option, you will not need to configure any server settings at all. Special note for AOL users: You will be required to use the FROM address to be your-aol-username@aol.com. AOL, which is not strictly an Internet Service Provider, does not make SMTP service available to its subscribers. If you use only AOL's built-in email software to send email, then the upcoming change at Matmon will not affect you. Otherwise, you will need to make a change: either switch to a true Internet Service Provider, or change the way you send email. One alternative is to use Matmon's webmail system. With this email option, you will not need to configure any server settings at all. Special note for other ISPs: If you are using an ISP that is not listed in this table, check with them through their website or call them. |
