Micorsoft Outlook 2003 E-Mail Setup
Outlook® 2003 E-Mail Settings
Before you start the configuration process, make sure the program has
been installed and is running properly.
On Windows XP, follow these
instructions:
- Click Start, and then hold your cursor over the Settings.
- Click Control Panel.
- Click Switch to Classic View, and then double-click Mail.
- In the Mail Setup dialog box, click Show Profiles.
- On the General tab, click Prompt for a profile to be used, and then click Add.
- In the Profile Name box, type a descriptive name (your domain can be used) for the new e-mail profile, and then click OK.
- In the E-mail Accounts dialog box, click Add a new e-mail account, and then click Next.
- Choose POP3 then click Next.
- Looking at the screen shot below, fill in the text blocks as described
below:

User Information
- Your Name: Your name -- it doesn't have to be your login name.
- E-mail Address: userid@yourdomain.com
Server Information
- Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.yourdomain.com
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.yourdomain.com
- Click on More Settings ... then go into Outgoing Server tab and check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.

- When you are done, click OK, then click Next.
- Click Finish and you are finished.
